Real-life Stories
Being a Christian isn't a religion - it's a real and personal
relationship with God. This means that we relate with God and he
changes our lives and situations. And that's just what we've experienced.
You can read some examples here.
"God is faithful"
The truth is that my life has been "full", and not in the good sense of the word.
When I was five months old, a malignant tumour was found in my left eye,
and they had to remove my eye; when I was nine, I was diagnosed with diabetes,
and this really turned my life back on itself: I started having eating
disorders which ended up in anorexia and bulimia; related to all this and
the low self-esteem I developed with my illnesses, I tried to commit suicide
on more than four occasions. But without me realising it, God was at work
in me, and got me out of all of that. Apart from this I've also had other
sicknesses like tuberculosis, hepatitis and hyperneuropathy (damage to the
nerves in my legs), but I say the same again: God has always been at my side,
he has kept me. And he's given me a promise: I am going to be healed of my
diabetes.

"I owe it all to Him"
More than 28 years ago, before I got married, I asked God for a job and
a house to live in. He told me that he would give me them, and he confirmed
it to me once we were married. You all know how God has more than kept his
promise, and in August 2005 it was 28 years of enjoying a steady job
and our house - roomy, light, with wonderful views. And in all this time
we have seen his faithfulness, day by day. I owe it all to him. And I know
that his love will keep me right till the end.
